CHRISTINE BAER WHITE

Christine Baer White is Executive Associate at Blodie Entertainment, in charge of all contracts and accounting. She was introduced to the New Orleans music scene as an undergraduate student at Tulane University where she wrote her senior thesis; Funk Music and the Cultural Identity of New Orleans. An internship at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival evolved into a full-time career in the music industry. Nearly two decades later, Christine is Music Production Manager for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, booking bands from New Orleans and around the world, fulfilling Jazz Fest’s mission to preserve, promote, perpetuate, and encourage the unique music, culture and heritage of Louisiana.

Working in music production, Christine has worked on major festivals and events including the annual Essence Music Festival, President Clinton’s Inauguration "Reunion on the Mall", Am*Jam at the Kennedy Center, Jambalaya Jam and RiverBlues Festivals in Philadelphia, and the Nice Jazz Festival in France, among many others. As International Coordinator for Festival Productions Inc. - New Orleans, she has toured New Orleans bands throughout Europe, bringing the unique sounds of New Orleans to the world as road manager for Rebirth Brass Band, James and Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews, Treme Brass Band and Kermit Ruffins & the Barbecue Swingers. She also worked the Cambridge Folk Festival for five consecutive years in Cambridge, England and helped produce Festival New Orleans in London last year.

Local projects with Festival Productions, Inc – N.O. have included producing halftime shows for the New Orleans Saint Football Games, Inauguration Gala for Louisiana Governor Blanco, and jazz funeral for New Orleans icon, Ernie K-Doe, to name a few. Christine has varied experience in booking music clubs, including Storyville Comedy & Music Club, Storyville District Jazz Club on Bourbon Street, and, Ray's Over the River in the World Trade Center and the 528 Jazz Club.

In her spare time, Christine earned an MBA in International Business, sings classical music with the Symphony Chorus of New Orleans and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, serves on the Board for Ogden Museum of Southern Art's Kohlmeyer Circle, as well as the Jazz Fest Shabbat Committee for Touro Synogogue.
